Offering a Variety of Cub Scout & Webelos Scout Camping Opportunities, age appropriate summer camp programs for boys entering 2nd - 5th grade. 

Any Cub Scout who will enter into the second through fifth grades in the fall is welcomed to join in the summer fun at Lone Tree Scout Reservation. We have activities geared for each Cub Scout level.

It is the spirit of the campers, staff, and volunteer den escorts that make the week a memorable one. Come join us, and enjoy the Lone Tree camp experience where the emphasis is on fun.

Family camping photo Family Camping Weekends

Two great weekends of programmed camping are offered to Scouting families. Bring your family to Lone Tree Scout Reservation, (one at the beginning and one at the end of the summer). A full weekend is available to you, to camp from Friday through Sunday. You bring your food and camping gear (or stay in our tents). We help to provide the activities and fun!

Family Camping Weekends begin at 5:00 pm on Friday and conclude at 11:00 am on Sunday.  These weekends are open to any Scout or Scouter and their family members.

Registration : Fam #1 June 27-29, 2008        Fam #2 Aug 15-17, 2008          

The cost is $55.00 per family per weekend (food is not provided). A delicious Spaghetti Dinner is offered on Saturday evening. Families may purchase tickets at check-in.

Family Camping Photo 2During Family Camping Weekends and Cub Overnight, Scouts and family members may choose to:

  • Take a swim

  • Head out to the Archery and BB ranges

  • Try their hands at crafts

  • Enjoy a Nature Hike

  • Participate in Scheduled Sports Events

Sleeping Facilities - 3 options
A.  Bring your own tenet and equipment.
B.  Use a Lone Tree wall tent and cot with mattress
C.  Bring your camper or pop-up trailer.

Equipment
Families are responsible for all personal equipment such as cooking materials, food, coolers, sleeping bags, etc.

What Should I Bring?
Scout Uniform, Comb, Brush, Mirror, Shorts, Long pants, Shirts, Extra underwear/socks, Cub Scout Handbook, Rain Coat or Poncho, Toothbrush/ Paste, Sweater or Jacket, Pajamas, Sneakers, Flashlight, Bathing Suit, Camera & film, Bath towel, Fishing Pole, Insect Repellent (non-aerosol), Hiking Shoes, Insect netting Medical form.

Cub Scouts and tent Activities That CUB Scouts Do at LTSR

  • Waterfront - In a Guarded Swimming area.

  • Archery - Instruction with proper sized equipment. An emphasis on safety.

  • Handicrafts - Exciting projects with leather, wood and more.

  • BB Range - A safe, supervised program using Daisy BB guns.

  • Nature - Explore the wonders in our woods, fields and lakeside.

  • Sports - Have fun playing different sports and games.

  • Fort Preble - a real stockade fort for special programs and activities.
